Cotton fabrics (some hand-dyed by me), turquoise, wood, sage bundle and incence cedar. Machine and hand embroidery, machine appliqué, machine quilting.
Here are my thoughts about the piece: I bartered this piece with a friend of mine for massages. She asked me to make a special quilt for her partner, in which their interest for nature and native American philosophy would be represented. I tried to make this piece so that it would be at the same time decorative and ceremonial (since it holds the sage bundle and incence cedar as well as the smudge feather bundle made by her partner).

Voici mes pensées au sujet de cette oeuvre: J'ai échangé cette oeuvre avec une amie contre des massages. Elle m'a demandé de faire un quilt spécial pour son ami, dans lequel leur intérêt pour la nature et la philosophie des indiens américains serait évidente. J'ai essayé de créer une oeuvre qui soit à la fois décorative et cérémonielle puisqu'elle contient la sauge et l'encens de cèdre cérémoniels ainsi que la plume spéciale faite par son ami).
