| In
this piece I gave the Earth a womanly face and hands, half young and
half old, to express two main and intermingled ideas: the importance
of nature and its cycles and how we need to become once more in tune
with our world. The second idea is that with the passage of each season
we grow older, and although in our society old age is not revered
any more, I thought it necessary to recognize the wisdom and power
of "crones". |
